LOCAL community radio station FromeFM will broadcast a series of Frome Festival preview shows throughout June and into July to give listeners a taster of events at the festival, which runs for 10 days from 2nd July.
The organisers report, “The festival features hundreds of events and activities across dozens of venues in Frome. From big name headliners such as the Lightning Seeds and Aswad to more local events such as hidden gardens and guided walks, there’s something for everybody at this year’s festival.”
Frome FM chair, Julian, said, “It’s fantastic to see the festival returning after all of the lockdowns we’ve had. I’m proud that FromeFM can support the festival by promoting many of the events in what has rightly become a highlight of Frome’s cultural calendar.”
FromeFM presenters will be interviewing many of the festival organisers and artists in the run up to the festival to give a flavour of what will be in the festival and how local people can get to the events.
These festival preview shows will be broadcast and repeated throughout June, starting on Tuesday and Thursdays from 9-10am and 5-6pm; and Saturday 2-3pm, on 96.6FM or online at www.frome.fm. Further slots are likely to be used from mid-June – please visit www.frome.fm/frome-festival-2021/ for all details to the radio station’s festival coverage.
