1. Which shop/business are you involved with?
Pop! is a shop like no other, luring you in with a veritable rainbow of colour and spitting you out, smiling and with gifts galore thanks to their surprisingly affordable prices. One look at the shop and you feel like you’re stepping into a living, breathing Pinterest board of fun, quirky, design-led gifts. Make no mistake, these are not novelty gifts but light-hearted, cleverly designed items that play on design classics and make you smile.
The gifts are sourced locally and from as far afield as Japan and Korea and often come from tiny Instagram based makers, meaning you won’t find them anywhere else on the high street. You’ll find everything from clothing and accessories to jewellery and trinkets for the home. Importantly, most things are under £10, earning owner Helen the local title of the “Willy Wonka” of gifts.

2. Why did you choose Frome?
Frome is where I live with my family – my two daughters Poppy, 14 and Alice, 8. They love to help me at POP! and run our independent family business. I love working on Cheap Street – hearing the water from the Leat running down the centre of the medieval street is so lovely!
3. My favourite things about Frome are the people, the architecture, and the surroundings – oh and of course all the amazing independent businesses

Before POP!
Helen Rochfort, owner of POP! began her journey at the age of 23 starting an award-winning creative company in Hackney, London. She then went on to starting up another company – the international fashion brand Helen Rochfort!
The HR brand designed and produced unique accessories including handbags and watches, which were sold in over 300 stores worldwide including Harrods, Fenwicks, New Look, ASOS and stores in L.A Tokyo and Paris.
HR designs appeared in some great press features, just some included Vogue UK, Vogue Italia, Glamour, ES Magazine, ELLE, Grazia, Sunday Times STYLE and ITV This Morning.
A romantic comedy novel, ‘Summer Daydreams’ by renowned author Carole Matthews was written, following the true story of Helen’s adventures – juggling international business, family life and all the ups and downs inbetween. Launched in Waterstones, it is now available in over 30 countries.
Stars spotted wearing HR designs included Katy Perry, Sienna Miller, Holly Willoughby, Alesha Dixon, Kate Winslet, Little Mix and Lauren Laverne, amongst other lovely faces.
Helen now enjoys a simple quiet life in Frome running POP!
