VENTURE to Frome’s award-winning, oldest and much-loved independent bookshop, Winstone’s Hunting Raven Books, on Cheap Street on the evening of Thursday 10th August at 7.30pm for the launch party of the new Hunting Raven Book Group.
The evening will begin with bubbles, browsing and a chance to meet other book lovers/occasional readers/confirmed bibliophiles/the book-group-curious, and will culminate in the reveal of the group’s first two new group reads – one fiction and one non-fiction title.
“There will be the chance to buy the selected titles on the night – giving you ample time for reading,” said the shop manager, Tina Gaisford-Waller. “You can choose to read both, either (but probably not neither!) in readiness for the first meeting on Thursday 14th September.
“We’ll be meeting somewhere cosy (venue TBC) for a lovely evening of chat, opinions, discussion and the introduction of the next two reads – and perhaps a drink (or two).”
