The Frome Independent returns on November 6th with a handpicked selection of goodies and some special family activities, including a 24ft climbing wall, plus loads of Christmas gift ideas.
Following a bustling and busy market in October, it’s clear that Frome residents and visitors alike are starting their Christmas shopping early, with market-goers snapping up an incredible range of gifts and treats, the likes of which you’d be hard pushed to find on a typical high street.
But if all that shopping sounds a tad exhausting, visitors can relax and unwind at the Village Green, and can take part in some great family activities, including a mobile climbing wall from Frome’s Aveling Adventure, which will be in place outside the library.
November’s market promises everything from hand-forged kitchen knives to delicate porcelain jewellery on offer from The Frome Independent’s talented designer-makers. The Frome Flea offers antiques, vintage furniture and nostalgic curios which would make perfect one-of-a-kind gifts this festive season.
Foodies won’t be disappointed by the wealth of local produce on offer this November, but for those who can’t wait that long there will be the usual array of diverse and delicious street-food through the market – from award winning pies and sausages rolls to vegan curries there’s something for all tastes and persuasions.
The pop-up Village Green next to Frome Library offers a space for market-goers to sit and watch the world go by, with family art activities from Doodlebug Club, music from The Vintage Mobile Disco and, new for November, a huge mobile climbing wall from Frome adventure and activity company, Aveling Adventures. Aveling will also be debuting their brand new bouldering wall too, for those who may be daunted by the 24ft climbing wall.
