FROME Inner Wheel Club recently celebrated the International Inner Wheel Day with an Indian themed evening.
Renée Cole reports, “On the evening of 10th January The Inner Wheel Club of Frome celebrated International Inner Wheel Day with a curry meal. One member wore a sari and some other members Indian attire.
“One of the husbands joined in the fun in Indian attire and a few guests wore fancy dress. Other members all wore evening dress, with the men in dinner suits.
“A good evening was had by all with the curry meal and dessert, followed by Veronica from the Kanji Project charity explaining the great work they are doing in India.
“A cheque in the sum of £1,000 was presented to Veronica for the charity, much to her delight, and she assured us of the wonderful work they will be able to do with this and promised that she would keep in touch and let us know how it is spent.”
