Described as “One of the best multi-strand festivals in the country” by Venue magazine, the ninth Frome Festival was an outstanding success. Now, you can revisit the highlights of the festival online.
The festival website includes hundreds of images from July’s 10-day cultural extravaganza which are ready to be viewed now.
Take the opportunity to browse through a series of online photo galleries that capture 49 of the 187 events held this year. Highlights include the fancy dress of Cabaret Sans Frontières, the panache of the Green Fashion Show, and the sheer numbers at the World Food Feast.
Frome Festival 2009 saw capacity crowds at a record 28 events. A further 14 events sold more than 80 per cent of their tickets.
Festival creative director Martin Dimery said, “It’s a testament to the fabulous support for the arts in Frome. Thanks to everyone who came, and thanks to the volunteers who made it happen. We can now push on and prepare for the biggest milestone yet – Frome Festival’s 10th birthday.”
The next Frome Festival in 2010 runs from Friday 9th to Sunday 18th July.
