A pupil from Selwood Middle School has become the British School Judo Champion in an age related competition for years 6/7.
Ben Still took part in the national competition at the IceSheffield on the 26th March and fought off strong competition from children throughout the UK. Ben was awarded a gold medal having won four rounds, against other children in the under 60kg matches, lasting three minutes each.
Ben is also a member of the Frome Judo Club and, due to the success of his latest performance in the competition, he has been asked to train alongside the England Excel squad.
