Vallis First School in Frome, where Formula 1 champion Jenson Button went to school, is mounting a campaign to persuade their most famous prodigy to visit his old school when he visits his home-town in May. “We are very keen for Jenson to come and visit his old school on his return to Frome in May this year and have written and illustrated letters and made a banner begging him to ‘Please come’,” said the school. “Everyone is hoping to see him and his trophy. Frome’s local hero is a real inspiration to all the children and young people of the town! “
