Jazz duo, Helen Porter and Karen Wimhurst, are holding a singing workshop at the Bennett Centre in Frome on Saturday 28th September, followed by a live performance later that evening.
The workshop runs from 4pm to 6pm, with doors opening at 3.45pm.
“This will be an uplifting two hours of singing – jazzy harmonies and rhythms, fun exercises and miniature songs, and how to improve your vocal technique for a great group sound,” said Helen Porter.
Helen and Karen will then be performing at the centre from 7.30pm, with doors opening at 7.15pm.
“Helen and Karen‘s Autumn programme interweaves original material with tunes you know and love,” say the organisers.
“It’s an evening of absolute joy. I loved every demisemiquaver,” said David Grierson, an audience member from a previous show.
Under-14s must be accompanied by an adult for the singing workshop, and tickets are £10 plus a £1 booking fee. Tickets for Helen and Karen’s performance are available for ages 14 and over, costing £11 plus a £1.20 booking fee.
