THERE’S still time to join Frome fundraiser extraordinaire Rachel Clark in her ‘virtual reunion mile’ today which is raising money for WHY, We Hear You, the Frome based cancer counselling charity.
“Today we’ll go again just for one day, but you’ll see how something so small, so simple can make a HUGE difference,” said Rachel, who was the Frome Times Person of the Year in 2018 and who last year hit the headlines last year by running a mile every day of the year.
“I’m asking the good people of Frome (and all over the world!) to join me in a reunion mile for WHY!. There are confirmed runners in Australia and America already as well as Frome of course!
“It’s the anniversary of my Mum’s death, and ordinarily I’d be planning another big community challenge. We can’t all be together but we can still make an invaluable difference to many, many people that still need to use the free counselling service WHY provides.
“So, on Friday join me in a virtual reunion mile: run or walk a mile anytime during the day on Friday 29th May; Make a donation however small to WHY; Take a selfie and post up on 365 miles for WHY page or send to me; Wear a WHY T-shirt if you have one.
“Anytime, anywhere, anyone can make a difference..”
