THE final touches are being made to window displays around the town as the 5th annual Frome Window Wanderland is about to light up our streets.
Starting this Friday 4th March and continuing until Monday 7th from 5.30-9pm each evening, houses, flats, schools and businesses will be creating an outdoor gallery for everyone to enjoy.
Downloadable maps are available from the event’s webpage, and for the first time there will be different areas of Frome on different mapped areas so you can choose your neighbourhood map and download it – follow this link www.windowwanderland. com/event/frome-2022 to start planning your evenings’ wandering!
Event organisers would like to thank Lucia Harley and Mel Day for leading the workshops this year.
They say, “It has been a pleasure to be able to hold them again and to connect with people. We would also like to thank Mendip District Council and Frome Town Council for the funding that has allowed us to provide the workshops for the ‘Community Windows’ at The Town Hall and The Round Tower at Black Swan Arts.
“These are based on the theme of ‘Kindness’ to coincide with the Frome Kindness Festival which runs from 1st-6th of March. Frome Lottery have also generously helped fund the print and design for this year’s event.
“Big thanks also go to Black Swan Arts for all their support and to The Riverhouse Cafe for staying open late on Friday 4th March. Join them for food and drink and a few words before you wrap up warm and start wandering!”
