FROME Town Council is launching a new training programme as part of their programme of support for local organisations; staff, volunteers and trustees.
The training for community groups, charities, community interest companies and social enterprises includes an introduction to online fundraising, recruiting young volunteers, setting up an organisation, emergency first aid at work and budget planning, amongst others. Local Giving kick off on the 7th September, with their training ‘Making Online Fundraising Work’ from 6.00pm-8.00pm at the Town Hall.
Kate Hellard, community projects officer said, “Designed with local groups, the training aims to build the capacity and sustainability of groups going into the future with a series of practical skills, support and advice delivered by expert trainers in their field. The town council also contract a fundraising support advisor who is on hand to support local groups with more detailed aspects of securing funding for their group’s future.”
