Frome Town FC Supporters Club will be holding a ‘legends day’ at Badgers Hill on Sunday 7th May at 12pm. Past team members of Frome Town FC will be playing against a Supporters’ Team for a celebration cup.
The club says, “Players who have played for the team over the years have been invited back to play in this game. We have ex-players from around the country returning on what looks to be a great day, as well as ex-managers of Frome Town FC attending. We also have some special guests who has accepted our invitation.”
The day will kick off with majorettes performing on the pitch, and there will be a crossbar challenge, side stalls, tombola stall, competition stalls, refreshments, a player’s shirt auction. The match kicks off at 3pm which will be followed by a disco in The Clubhouse in the evening.
Lester Silk, chairman of the Supporters Club said, “It will be a great day to see ex-players returning to take part in the match; we are hoping for a big crowd to enjoy what we have on offer throughout the day, special thanks to our sponsors who has made this possible. We are also holding a fund-raising jumble sale in The Clubhouse at 12 noon on Sunday 30th April with free entry. Come along to get that bargain.”
Admission on the day is £3, children under 16 free, and programmes are £2. Off-site parking available at Selwood School.
