FROME Community Education has just launched its range of Spring term courses live online with a new brochure being distributed across Frome in the next few days.
Six new tutors have joined the Frome Comm Ed programme with 16 brand new courses now on offer.
As a result of student feedback, Frome Comm Ed have dramatically in- creased their range of art and craft courses. Students can now choose from a ‘10-week Art Course’ teaching the ba- sics across a variety of media, whilst another course encourages you to ‘Dive into Watercolours’.
There is also ‘Printmaking Without a Press’, as well as the opportunity to ‘Get Creative with Collage Art’.
These new classes all run alongside existing courses for wood engraving, and drawing and painting.
For those with a more philosophical turn of mind, there is a new, fascinating workshop ‘Money: A Global History’ , the chance to discover your own personal cultural profile with ‘Intercultural Communication’ and ‘From Seed to Fork: The Deep History of Food’. There is also a new range of literary adventures with ‘Nature Writing for Beginners’, ‘Robert Frost: A life in Poetry’, ‘Reading and Writing Poetry’, and, for something completely different, ‘Dreaming Ourselves Awake’ teaching you to remember and value your dreams as a source of creative inspiration. Programme manager Pia McGee says, “If you are stuck for Christmas gift ideas, look no further than a course with Frome Comm Ed for that hard to buy for person in your life. There are a range of courses to suit all interests and bud- gets with classes ranging from one day workshops from £35, 5 week and 10-week courses.”
With over 40 courses in total for the Spring term (spanning languages, history, culture, art, craft, health and wellbeing) there really is something for everyone.
