LOCAL social club Life Begins at 70 have celebrated a successful autumn and are looking forward to more sessions in the coming weeks – their next meeting will be on Thursday 30th April.
Volunteer Dorothy-Anne Bryant said, “In the Autumn about twenty of us joined the Day Centre regulars at the Football Club for sessions on some of the issues of ageing. We enjoyed brief talks, practical sessions and an excellent lunch!
“I learnt a lot, not only from the speakers, but from the people there. I was asked to do some more events so I have arranged two more sessions.
Life Begins at 70’s next meeting, themed ‘Developing Relationships’, will take place on Thursday 30th April from 11am – 12.30pm at Frome Town Football Club on Badgers Road.
The following meeting will be named ‘Developing Your Story’, and will be held at the football club on Thursday 4th June.
Each event will be followed by a lunch for £5 and optional afternoon activities.
“I hope that our finale on Thursday 4th June will give us a chance to pass on some of our life stories by making or sharing scrap books, recording memories for FromeFM or other such activities,” added Dorothy Anne.
“Everyone with an interest is invited – we look forward to seeing you!”
