The lights on the Lions Club of Frome Tree of Remembrance shone brightly in front of Rook Lane chapel over the Christmas period.
The tree, erected each year by the Lions, enables individuals or families to sponsor a light in memory of a loved one or cause at this special time of year and in turn helps the Lions to raise funds to support worthy charitable causes in and around Frome.
This year 171 names and causes were remembered and the sum of £1,250 was raised for their charity fund
Frome Lions would like to thank the following people and businesses for their valued support.
NVB Architects for allowing the tree to be erected at Rook Lane Chapel and for also covering the cost of illumination.
Longleat Forestry for supplying the tree
Mark Branson of Frome Town Council for transporting the tree.
The reverend Colin Horn for conducting the dedication service
Frome Town Youth Band for playing carols at the dedication service
Everyone who made donations in memory of loved ones and causes.
