The ever popular Charity Golf Day organised by the Lions Club of Frome is being staged earlier this year, on Friday 15th May at Orchardleigh Golf Club.
Entries are being restricted to 32 teams and they have already started to come in.
Players are invited to enter, or make up, a team of four to enjoy a competitive but fun Stapleford 18 hole event, at an entry fee of £160 per team.
The day will start with a bacon roll and coffee and end with a buffet lunch before the prize giving. Starting times will be between 8.00am and 11.00am and there will be various competitions at different holes.
The Lions are looking for sponsorship for each hole at a suggested £100 for a competition hole or £50 for a non-competition hole, as well as general sponsorship around the course and raffle prizes
The charity chosen by the Lions in Dorothy House Hospice ‘Care’. Last year’s event raised £5,500. When this was added to the sums raised by the club’s other six fund-raising events the total was £36,750.
