THE Lions Club of Frome has a new President.
Frome Lions’ Public Relations Officer Michael Geake said, “Lion Jim Dowling has taken over the reigns from outgoing President Keith McLeod.
“For Jim who is well known in the local farming community this is his second time at the helm having previously been President in 2002.
“At the recent handover evening held at the Bell at Standerwick, Jim thanked Lion Keith for his leadership during a very special year for Lions both worldwide and locally as Lions International celebrates its centenary in 2017 and the Frome club celebrated its 50th anniversary of supporting the less fortunate in the local community.
“Keith thanked everybody involved with the Frome Lions for their assistance and made special mention of the Lions Ladies and friends whose invaluable support he said was paramount to the success of the club.
