THIS year’s Festival Poetry Cafe is moving venues to the ECOS amphitheatre outside the Merlin Theatre.
Normally held indoors at The Garden Cafe, Frome Poetry Cafe in the Stones will instead offer a night of live poetry performance under the stars, on Tuesday 6th July, from 8pm to 9.30pm.
Organisers say, “All our best loved features will be the same – a fabulous festival guest – Liv Torc, whose HAIFLU concept [a collection of poetry, photograph, music and film] last year brought contributions from round the world and was featured by the BBC.
“Plus our popular Open Mic, welcoming poems from the audience – with spot prizes from Hunting Raven Books and Frome Wholefoods.”
As always, it’s pay-on-the-door, just £5 with no pre-booking – bring your own seating if wanted, and be prepared for the English weather!
