Local performers are invited to apply to play at this year’s ‘festival market’, which will take place during the annual Frome Festival on Sunday 6th July.
Once again, the Frome Independent Market is collaborating with the Frome Festival to champion local acts and bring the festival market to life.
Both organisations have a proud tradition of supporting local artistic talent, and this will be the second year of the successful takeover during one of Frome’s busiest events.
Manager of the Frome Festival, Sarah Swales, said, “Musicians, thespians, dancers, magicians, jugglers, or other types of entertainers can apply to perform on the Market Place Stage, in the Activity Zone outside the library, or wander flash-mob style across Frome. Performances will take place on busking stages with a 0% commission, so performers will be able to keep all proceeds dropped in the hat.”
To register interest in performing, visit the Frome Festival website and complete the form.
All applications should be received by Friday 4th April at 5pm. The festival team will work with the Independent Market planners to coordinate the programme and will reach out to the selected artists to inform them of performance times.
For any queries, contact the Frome Festival team at office@fromefestival.co.uk.
