Frome beat managers and police community support officers (PCSOs) were in attendance at the Bath & West Showground assisting with patrols and helping our Road Policing unit with the handing out of leaflets and giving help and advice to members of the public.
We couldn’t go down to the show without trying out the food! What better place to get food from than this burger van, run by KEY4LIFE, a charity that helps to reduce offending, by working with men in prison and those at risk of going to prison and young people in schools with challenging behaviours. They were a great bunch of lads, and they looked after us with some great food!
PCSOs Kris Seviour and Gary Maule attended Critchill school to deliver an input on the criminal justice system and crime and consequences.
We would just like to thank all the students from all the classes for raising such good questions on the day.
If you would like to speak with a member of your Neighbourhood Team to arrange a talk then, please contact us and we would be happy to discuss your requirements.
Frome Town Neighbourhood PCSOs spent some time locked up in the bank!
PCSOs Kris and Gary were happy to assist Barclays Bank, Frome with raising awareness regarding scams and fraud. Unfortunately, this is a massive issue which everyone is vulnerable too. Raising awareness and signposting members of the public is key in tackling these crimes.
Frome Town PCSO Kris Seviour has been supporting the Clink Road Community Speed Watch this month. The location is fully signposted at 30 mph. In a single hour of attendance 177 vehicles passed us with seven vehicles exceeding the speed limit at an average of 40mph. The vehicles recorded speeding will be receiving advisory notices soon.
The Frome neighbourhood town team have been doing several Come Talk to Us Events in several locations to raise awareness of the dangers of knife crime as part of the Ben Kinsella Knife Crime Week. It is a rising concern within our communities and one that we continue to take very seriously.
Frome Rural
PCSO Rob linked up with the rural crime team at Standerwick market whilst hosting a Come Talk To Us event as part of a joint operation. A key part in our role as neighbourhood officers is centred around community engagement and crime prevention. We are always happy to provide you with a range of information leaflets and advice, so if you have any concerns, please do get in touch with us.
PCSOs Rob and Kim continued community engagement at Mole Valley this month, with a Bike Register and Tack register event.
This was very successful with lots of bikes registered and tack marked in addition to Farm and Horse Watch Sign Ups.
