LOCAL fashion designer, Truly Sopel, had her fashion collection personally selected by stylist Gok Wan to take part in his ‘One Size Fits All’ event last month.
The event was a masterclass in fashion, style and insider secrets, which toured the country and came to The Mercure Bristol Grand Hotel on Saturday 20th October, where Truly’s collection was on display.
Truly said, “This really was a truly fun day and we were delighted to be able to get involved with Gok and his team and the other six West Country independent designers taking part.
“We showcased 10 looks from our fashion collection which also included looks from our lingerie label, ‘Truly Knickers’. Our aim was to dress our fabulous models to show how versatile our colourful range is; how the designs can be worn in different ways by all shapes and sizes of women.
“We love to mix up day fashion with night time styles to create a unique looks that’s comfortable, modern and fun.”
“It was so exciting to see our head-turning clothing come alive on the catwalk – which was all personally introduced, curated and super styled by Gok himself. Gok is a real promoter of high street shops and indie designers like myself. It was good to be able to show this to the 300+ guests.
“Gok was very inspiring to chat with and loved my range of clothing that featured on models from size 8 to size 20. He described my collection as fashionable and fun and was super impressed that every item is made in the UK – (mainly here in Frome).”
