The founders of annual fundraising event ‘Band in a Barn’ have teamed up with Frome CBD brand Goodbody Botanicals to raise money for local charities, after their June event was cancelled due to COVID-19.
Goodbody Botanicals has created a special, discounted bundle of its new CBG (cannabigerol) spray hand cleanser. The bundle contains six bottles of CBG hand cleanser on a ‘buy-five-get-one-free’ offer – each 50ml bottle provides over 500 hand washes. Goodbody Botanicals decided to develop the new hand cleanser last month in response to the increased need for sanitation products in light of COVID-19. Research shown by McMaster’s University is that CBG is an effective antibacterial agent. The spray has 70% alcohol content, coupled with moisturising properties to prevent dryness.
Band in a Barn organisers Tom Wheeler and Charlotte Wheeler said ‘We were very disappointed to have had to postpone this year’s event due to the current circumstances, so we were absolutely delighted when Goodbody Botanicals stepped in to try and help plug the gap with some much-needed funds. The project will also provide local people with hand cleanser, direct to their homes when it is in such short supply.’
