Local singer/songwriter, Sara Vian embarked on a “Beautiful Soul Tour” of the east coast America just before Christmas, in an effort to promote her debut album, “Beautiful Soul” and couldn’t have asked for a better result when a chance encounter and photo with rockstar, Jon Bon Jovi, sky-rocketed her Facebook page and profile with nearly 17,000 people reached!
Sara had been visiting Jon’s community dining enterprise, “The JBJ Soul Kitchen”, with local town and transport-planner, Patrick Moss, in an effort to get more informed on how this truly masterful rockstar was using his talents to benefit the community.
‘The JBJ Soul Kitchen’ is one of two community diners in New Jersey at which you can get a rather grand three-course meal cooked by volunteers using produce from the local organic farm, for a suggested donation of just £15, with the option to pay it forward for someone else who can’t afford it to eat for free; JBJ also helps to house the homeless with the JBJ Soul Foundation.
Sara Vian’s interest in what JBJ is doing stems from hosting a much simpler enterprise locally called ‘The Goodwill Café’ which intends to create a hub for the community to cultivate goodwill and creative solutions, popping-up at a number of locations in Frome including Holy Trinity Church under the pseudonym of ‘The Link Up Café’ and at Frome district councillors, Stina Falle and Des Harris’ home – find the full blog at www.fabulous frome.co.uk
The Goodwill Café is currently homeless, so if anyone has any ideas about where it could lay its hat next, do please contact Sara at info@saravianmusic.com
