Frome Town Hall is feeling the love as it looks forward to welcoming couples back for their big day.
Working with Somerset Registration Services as a registry office, the Town Hall can now be booked for marriages, civil partnerships and even baby naming ceremonies.
Frome Town Council, which owns the hall, explains, “From small and simple to more lavish colour co-ordinated affairs, the ceremonies will all be conducted in line with the latest social distancing requirements while still offering a special space for each couple.
“The building really does tick all the boxes with two options for the big day. For couples looking for a smaller, more intimate wedding, there is the Emma Sheppard Room. For those wanting to share the day with more friends and family there is the elegant Council Chamber.
“It’s important to feel comfortable and confident on your special day, so relevant precautions are being taken to keep everyone safe during the current climate. Frome Town Council will continue to work closely with the Registrars to ensure the relevant precautions are in place to reflect the Government’s current advice.
“It’s not just weddings that are keeping staff busy; while the Town Hall is closed for day-to-day activities, it is now open for meeting room hire, so if you have an AGM, a course or just need a space to host, then please do get in touch.”
Cllr Anne Hills said, “While most council staff are still working from home, it’s great to see the Town Hall being used again, whether that’s for meetings or weddings. The team are taking sensible and practical steps; and they’re working closely with everyone coming into the Town Hall to ensure that all precautions are in place to reflect the Government’s current advice. And as the situation evolves, so will our approach”.
The Town Hall is available for meeting room hire, while limiting numbers, following strict government guidelines and social distancing requirements. If you’re interested in finding out more or making a booking please email info@frometowncouncil.gov.uk or call 01373 465757.
