PERFORMER Lottie Ball’s fundraising continued this month with a sponsored swim at Frome Leisure Centre.
Lottie Ball, from Frome, is raising money to pay her tuition fees for a three-year course at the prestigious Laine Theatre Arts college in Epsom, Surrey.
She and four others took part in a sponsored swim at the leisure centre on Sunday 20th July. Karen Dimmer, Trevor Day, Michael Ball, and Rupert Drury joined Lottie and between them swam 406 lengths of the 25m pool in 1hr 15mins.
Lottie said, “I would like to say a massive thank you to all of our swimmers, I can’t thank you enough for all of the amazing effort that you put in to both the swim and finding the donations. And once again, thank you to Frome Leisure Centre for making the event possible.
“We also had two children, Emily and Oliver Andrews, who came down to support us and had a swim in the children’s pool. They alone raised £50, and I just want to say a massive thank you once again to you both!”
Lottie, who recently performed in the ‘Fame’ musical at Bristol Hippodrome, will be on stage once again to continue her fundraising with a sponsored 24-hour ‘sing-a-thon’.
The sing-a-thon will take place at the Cheese & Grain from 9am on Sunday 10th August. Lottie and her singing teacher, Hannah Lockwood, will attempt to sing non-stop for 24 hours between them.
The café will be open during the day to come and watch Hannah and Lottie’s progress; entrance is by a £5 donation on the door.
