THIS spring Marston Church is hosting three music events.
Organisers say, “On Wednesday 11th May, Belshazzar’s Feast, who have had an illustrious performing career throughout the UK and Australia, will bring their tours to a conclusion. Their Farewell Tour will be your last chance to see their mix of folk, classical, pop and intelligent, witty banter live. Be quick. Tickets are selling fast.
“On Friday May 20th Somerset-based tenor Tim Pitman will entertain us with his extraordinary and versatile voice performing well-known operatic arias and songs in the bel canto tradition and other much-loved melodies. Supported by cellist Linda Stocks and pianist Jacquelyn Bevan, this is a performance not to be missed.
“On Monday 30th May we look forward to the newly formed Chapmanslade-based Dolce Singers who will perform a summer evening of choral music and words. This new and enthusiastic choir under choir master Daniel Cushing have recently performed some complicated works to wide acclaim and we promise their visit will be delightful.”
