THE Mayor of Frome, Cllr Dickon Moore has released a ‘Christmas Broadcast’ message for the town.
The two-minute film celebrates the recent achievements Frome has had, including the Cheese & Grain project, the Christmas Extravaganza and the ‘Frome Supermarkets’.
Dickon said, “In this Christmas message I wanted to be positive, it’s difficult not to, considering what a wonderful town Frome is! There are so many exciting projects underway, and I feel proud to be able to represent Frome and talk about it’s achievements.”
Quirky as Frome is, the video is light-hearted and contains an introductory pun on the traditional Christmas Broadcast, as well as a fun way of wishing Frome a happy new year at the end.
The video, which has already gained over 1800 views, was made with a huge amount of voluntary help from Gulliver Moore (filmmaker and brother of Dickon) and friends Oli Clubb and James Hill. Thanks also goes to those who gave permission for their music to be used in the film.
Gulliver said, “It was great fun to make a video showcasing Frome in this highly accessible medium. I hope lots of people watch it and find out a bit about what is going on in the town.”
