THE Old Church School on Butts Hill is inviting you to join them for a board games evening on Tuesday 18th February following the success of its first event last week.
Edward Darwent, host at The Old Church School (TOCS) said, “On Tuesday 21st January we hosted our first ‘Board Games Evening’ which was a real success. We had roughly 20 people turn up from the local area. It gave those that attended an awesome opportunity to meet others, whilst enjoy some good old fashioned fun!
“In summary, ‘Board Games Evening’ is a: • chance to get out and meet new people of all ages and be sociable • enjoy different games which you may or may not have played previously • opportunity for a younger audience to be exposed to board games which might not necessarily be their choice of ‘go to’ entertainment • families to meet others that are similar to there own • ultimately an excuse to have a straight forward slice of fun on a Tuesday evening!
“Board games are coming back into life and we hope that these session at TOCS really do come to life themselves!
“The event runs on a monthly basis and there are all types of games for everyone to enjoy. There are Worker Placement games, Co-Op games, your Monopoly’s and loads more. Tony, who helps run the event brings some of his own games, however we do ask for those coming to bring their own also! Although, you haven’t got to bring anything if you’d rather not.”
