Charity bingo sessions will run at The Key Centre every month to raise funds for Purple Elephant Family Support.
The sessions are organised and run by Frome resident and bingo fan Elizabeth Ayers and will take place on the last Wednesday of the month.
Elizabeth said, “I’ve always wanted to run bingo for the local community and I’d also like to support a local charity, especially one that does so much for children. This seemed like the perfect way to combine a social community event, raise some money for Purple Elephant and show our family’s deep respect and gratitude for all the support we have received so kindly from local healthcare services.”
The event includes refreshments, locally donated raffle prizes and cash bingo prizes. Proceeds from the raffle and refreshments will be donated to Purple Elephant Family Support to support its year-round services, which help families overcome their challenges.

Players can look forward to eight bingo games, a HOY game and a flyer round.
Founder of Purple Elephant, Sue Willis, added, “We are so lucky to have people like Elizabeth in town. Fundraising events put on by the local community and by local businesses are part of our lifeline.”
Key Centre coordinator Sarah Walton said, “We’re looking forward to hosting bingo, as well as a growing range of groups, activities and community sessions over the coming months. Whether you’re coming along to a formally organised group, joining an activity, popping in for a cup of tea and chat, accessing support, or simply looking for a friendly place to connect, it is a space for everyone.”
The first session is on Wednesday 30th September. Sessions start at 6.45pm, with eyes down at 7.30pm. The following session is on Wednesday 28th October at the same time. No need to book.
