Mr Kaye, Christ Church’s headteacher, said: “This painted rock mysteriously and stealthily appeared outside the main entrance of Christ Church C of E First School and Nursery earlier this week.
The message says: Thank you school workers. I’d just like to say to the artist (whoever you are) that we really appreciated your beautiful gift. This is such a wonderfully thoughtful gesture. This rock is a symbol of hope, kindness and love. It made our staff smile and caused great excitement amongst our very youngest pupils. Thank you for lifting our spirits!”
