THE Old Bath Arms in Palmer Street has served up gourmet food to local residents in Frome as well as the surrounding areas during lockdown, and are now setting their sights on going national!
Owners Richard and Kath said, “We went into lockdown not wanting to just serve hot food but to come up with a concept that would survive post lock down and its active restrictions.
“At the beginning of lock down we purchased a blast freezer and started blast freezing our whole menu after research into how many top international chefs were raving about it. After blast freezing, cooked and reheated dishes yield such good quality and maintain the required hygiene standards.
“During these times our customers are uncertain and confidence is low about returning to pubs and restaurants, so we developed a product which delivers restaurant-quality food to their doors. By simply reheating for 35 minutes at your convenience you have a restaurant-quality meal in your own home.
“We have been so excited by the return custom that we are trialling it nationally by posting our products in chilled packaging via couriers to all parts of England, to test the temperature and quality delivered.
“We are extremely excited, the official launch is the third week in July.
“We have even given the products our personal stamp of approval by naming it with our surname ‘Findlays Kitchen!’:

“Our team have all worked tirelessly on this project during the lock-down as they all live in the Old Bath Arms and have been in a social bubble the entire time constantly checking their temperatures and observing social distance from the outside world,” added Richard
