The participants of the Frome Area Neuropathy Support Group would like to let people know about their friendly, supportive group.
If you are affected by Neuropathy, you would be very welcome to join them. You can share experiences, make friends and find out information over a cup of tea or coffee. Friends, family and carers are also welcome.
Neuropathy (or Peripheral Neuropathy) is one of the long-term complications which affects the nerves. In many cases, the condition first develops in the extremities of the body, such as the feet, hands, legs and arms and the main symptoms of neuropathy can include: numbness and tingling in the feet or hands, burning, stabbing or shooting pain in affected areas, loss of balance and co-ordination, muscle weakness, especially in the feet. These symptoms are usually constant, but may fluctuate. (Information taken from NHS Choices website).
The group runs on the third Thursday of every month at the new time of 2.30pm until 4.00pm at Frome Medical Practice upstairs in the Education Room. March’s meeting will be on Thursday 17th March at 2.30pm. No need to book a place, just turn up. Free.
