A new art and wine event bringing together contemporary artists and UK-based growers, winemakers and wine merchants, is set to launch in Frome this weekend.
Unfiltered Frome will take place at the Silk Mill on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th July, offering a mix of exhibitions, tastings, workshops and music.
The event is the brainchild of Adam Collins from Frome’s Saddle Goose winery. It will feature more than 15 wine producers from across the UK, alongside guest growers and makers from further afield. Over 10 contemporary artists will also be exhibiting, with work available to view and purchase.

Visitors can expect a range of activities including wine tastings, live art demonstrations and workshops, as well as food from artisan traders. Alternative drinks including local beer, cider and kombucha will also be available, with DJs providing music throughout the weekend.
“Unfiltered Frome is a coming together of artists, winemakers, growers and chefs,” said Adam. “Meet the makers, discover the artists, eat delicious food and listen to great music.
“It’s a chance to see UK contemporary artists showcasing and celebrating their current pieces, alongside some of the most exciting low-intervention winemakers and growers from across the UK and beyond. Plus there will be artisanal food trucks supplying delicious food and known DJs creating an exciting energy.
“After making wine around the world, I founded Saddle Goose in 2020 to focus on boundary-pushing, low-intervention wines from English grapes. That journey brought me to Frome, where I opened a working winery in 2024 and a cellar door in 2025.”
The idea for the event took shape after Adam and his partner Kate attended a creative event at the Silk Mill, ran by the third partner of the event – Michelle Woods of Tribe Somerset. “It felt like a bit of a lightbulb moment,” added Adam. “We had an exciting blend of experiences in art, wine, hospitality and events – the right people, the right venue, the right town and the right time to bring these worlds together.”
Sessions will run from 12pm to 4pm and 5pm to 9pm on Saturday, and from 12pm to 5pm on Sunday at the Silk Mill, Frome (BA11 1PT). Tickets are £18, available from https://www.unfilteredfair.co.uk
