For the first time Welshmill artists are joining Frome Open Studios and bursting onto the arts scene with work created over the past 18 months.
Having painted together for several years they are now permanently in residence at The Welsh Mill Hub, also home of Edventure and a number of other creative enterprises. The artists exhibiting:
Amy Yates – Colourful semi-abstract townscapes and recognisable local scenes in imaginary dreamlike cubism.
Julia Blaker – Paintings from local and more far flung places in striking bold colours and original designs.
Sabine Abraham – Contemporary subjects portrayed in strong colours, shapes and occasionally abstract form. Also hand-painted silk and funky knitwear.
Camilla Frederick – Compositions of relationships between objects with light and tone complimenting the subject matter.
