BOOKING is now open for the summer term of courses from Frome Community Education.
In addition to their regular classes in modern languages, health and wellbeing, words and culture, there are a number of new arts and crafts classes across different media.
Jessica Wilker returns with her popular collage one-day workshop – this time following in the footsteps of Surrealism. Catherine Beale has two watercolour workshops: ‘River of Gold’ and ‘Tempestuous Seascape’.
Jeanette Magson is repeating her previously sold out ‘Let’s Go Down to the Sea’ painting workshop and introducing another, ‘Painting the Natural World’ in different media. These courses are expected to prove extremely popular and frequently sell out. Students are encouraged to book early!
In addition to their programme of one-day workshops and weekly courses for adults, Frome Community Education also run free drop-in support sessions for any tech issues you may encounter.
IT hub manager Richard Ackroyd explained, “Do you need help with your new smart phone or laptop and don’t have a teenager to help? Then come along on a Monday or Wednesday between 10am and 12pm upstairs at the Cheese and Grain in Frome.
“We don’t just help with apps, missing passwords and the like. We can also help to organise your bus pass application, your online job application or Blue Badge application and more. In fact, we can help with most things digital or signpost you to someone else who knows. We are friendly, confidential, can cover all sorts of online problems and it is free!”
The free IT drop-in classes will start again after the Easter holidays on Monday 15th April.
