£1,000 PRIZE money is up for grabs for new businesses who enter the 2012 Frome & District New Business Competition.
The Wessex and Frome Chambers of Commerce contest is open to all businesses within the Frome & District area who started trading after 1st January 2011. The winner will receive bags of free publicity via the media sponsors Somerset Standard and BBC Somerset.
The main sponsors of the competition are Mendip District Council and other sponsors are Frome Chamber of Commerce, Harris & Harris Solicitors, HSBC, Old Mill Accountants & Financial Planners, Sainsbury’s, Somerset Council, Superior Creative and Wessex Chambers. The aim of the competition is to support and promote local start-up businesses.
Kate Preece, membership manager, Frome Chamber of Commerce said, “If you have a bright idea for a new business or maybe you recently started your business, then we would like to hear from you, as the competition will give all entrants a tremendous marketing opportunity and boost for their start-up costs.”
Judging will take place in October and the final will be a black tie dinner at the Rook Lane Chapel in Frome on Friday 9th November.
