Fromie Gifts champions the best of Frome’s makers and suppliers with a variety of gift boxes to suit all ages, budgets and even pets!
Founder Nicky Bragg is passionate about collaborative working and wanted to bring independent suppliers together in a creative manner to spread the word about how great Frome is, and the hidden treasures that can be found here.
Currently riding a wave of popularity and being noted as “Best Place to Live” by The Times, “Community Champion” by The Guardian and “Most Stylish Place to Live” by Harper’s Bazaar, it certainly feels like the right time to sing Frome’s praises to the listening masses.
For new Fromies moving into the area, Hunter French’s partnership with Fromie Gifts has proved an outright success by providing completion boxes that include local tea, coffee, mugs and bespoke coasters from Moo and Two, Girls who Grind, Owl and Frome Hardware
They are going down a treat, and new home owners delighted with their welcome presents have been spotted wandering up Catherine Hill, gift box in hand! It’s a great way to help new home owners feel immediately integrated into the community.
The concept behind Fromie Gifts began at the Frome Independent Market, with an idea to make it as easy as possible to buy from independent traders if crowds weren’t your thing. With Fromie.co.uk you can buy online or choose to go in store, if you prefer, to put together something more bespoke. Each beautifully designed, modern box contains supplier’s info cards that relate to the gifts that have been chosen.
A happy customer last week said, “You guys are fab! I just opened my gorgeous birthday parcel that my husband and daughter lovingly chose for me. I’m one happy Mumma! Love Frome!”

Support for the new venture has been plentiful both locally and as far afield as the Philippines, since its launch on the 6th Sept. The retail space it occupies on Stony Street has been transformed over the last two months to create a fresh, modern showroom space that certainly gets people talking and Nicky cannot believe how supportive the town continues to prove itself to be.
They also offer a wrapping and posting service regardless of where your gift is bought from, be that Frome, Bath or beyond.
Also, Fromie will be joining forces with their immediate neighbours at We Hear You. Simply buy something at We Hear You over the Christmas period and Fromie Gifts will wrap it for you in return for a donation of your choice which will go to the charity post Dec 25th.
