Dr Andrea Dexter has joined the GP team at the Frome Medical Practice.
Dr Dexter qualified as a GP in 1988, trained in Sheffield and to date has spent most of her professional career working in North Lincolnshire. She made the decision to move to Somerset in August last year.
“Inevitably, Somerset is different from North Lincolnshire but I have to say that it has been an absolute delight moving down to Somerset,” says Dr Dexter. “Frome is a fascinating town in a great part of the country and everyone has been extremely friendly and supportive.”
Dr Dexter says that she has greatly enjoyed meeting her new patients and that joining the practice has also meant that she has hopes of continuing with her specialism, that of medical education.
“The Frome Medical Practice is in a great building with the facilities to match,” added Dr Dexter. “However, what has impressed me to date is that despite all the pressures that the NHS is under, everyone here is committed to finding innovative solutions and improving the quality of service to the patients.”
The senior partner of the Frome Medical Practice is Dr Tina Merry.
