New headship team at Christ Church First School

The leadership team at Christ Church First School has recently been joined by two new members who are both eager to build upon the success of the school.

Christ Church First School, located on Feltham Lane, Frome, has appointed Kate Rhodes as the new head of school and Joe Beament will be taking on the role of executive head.

To celebrate their arrival, the school hosted a special event, including a cake, mini assembly and an opportunity for pupils to chat with the new leaders.

Kate Rhodes (who worked at Christ Church previously) is eager to build upon the good work that has already been done at Christ Church First School. She said, “The welcome we’ve received from day one has been so heartwarming; it has filled us with excitement and optimism for the year ahead.

“The hard work and dedication of the Bath and Wells Multi Academy Trust (BWMAT), have set a strong foundation for our children and our team is eager to build on this momentum. Together, we will continue to create an inspiring environment where every child can thrive, embodying our values of respect, perseverance and kindness.”

In his role as executive head, Joe Beament will work closely with Kate Rhodes to ensure the continued success of the school. He said, “I am thrilled to become a part of the school community. The families, staff and pupils have been incredibly welcoming and I have really enjoyed starting to spend time with the children in lessons and on the playground, gaining a deeper understanding of their experiences and the fun they are having. I look forward to supporting the school as we embark on the next chapter!”

Christ Church First School has been serving the local community for many years. Under the guidance of the new leadership team, the school is poised to continue its tradition of supplying education to its community and to further embed good practises that have been established by the BWMAT, of which it is a part.
