FROME Art for Wellbeing (formerly Frome SODA) welcomed their new honorary president – county councillor Martin Dimery – to the group’s Christmas tea in December.
Martin said he was delighted and honoured to accept his new role. He then presented the Margaret Beacham Award to Linda Heywood who has been a member of the group for over 25 years.
Marjorie Morris from the group said, “She has overcome very many health problems and, following an early stroke, learned to paint quite beautifully with her left, non-dominant hand. Margaret Beacham had, sadly, died suddenly in 2022 and her family have endowed this very attractive award to be given annually in her memory.”
