WORK has begun to renovate one of Frome’s most prominent shops – the former Shoe Zone building in the Market Place.
Plans have been passed to turn it into a café, antiques store, and upstairs office space.
The building has remained empty since the shop closed in August 2017.
Plans, submitted by architects, Watson, Bertram and Fell, on behalf of Creative Workspaces LLP, can be viewed on the Mendip District Council planning website with the reference 2019/1182/FUL.
