Frome Community Pottery has added two new Frome-based tutors to their team for the September term and is offering a free taster session for anyone interested in starting pottery this month.
This will be on Saturday 22nd September from 10 to 12 at the pottery on the Frome College site (use the entrance from Bath Road). Just turn up and have a go!
Current tutors Hiro Takahashi, Russell Coates and Andrew Eddleston are joined by Craig Eyles and Roz Dunwell, providing real breadth and depth to the skills on offer this year. Both Craig and Roz are qualified teachers, and Craig has over 20 years’ experience as a potter specialising in throwing, stoneware and having fun with glazes. His current work is exploring form and shape from the sea shore. His Tuesday morning class will be for all abilities.
Roz has potted for years in Frome and her classes will be aimed at beginners, for adults before half-term and for families after the break, and will be held on Saturday mornings.
Enrolment for the pottery classes (and all the other Community Education classes) has already begun and details can be found at www.fromecommed.org.uk Bookings are taken at the Cheese and Grain box office or via their website. Pottery classes start on Monday 24th September.
