THE Inner Wheel Club of Frome have celebrated the handover of their president by gathering together in president Sue Ruddick’s garden for the hand-over ceremony to the new president Kate Lewis.
On behalf of the club Gill Barnes said, “The weather was kind to us and 19 members applauded Sue for all she had done during the two years she had held the office, one year longer than usual because of the Covid-19 situation.
“Sue also thanked several members for all their help during that time, and five members were given a bouquet of flowers. We also wished Pam Brewster the in-coming District 20 Chairman all the best for her year in office.
“Sue had arranged a cream tea for all the members, which was delicious; thanks were expressed to Sue for her hospitality and the meeting finished about 4.00pm just as the rain began to fall.
