WESSEX Counselling & Psychotherapy say they are pleased to introduce a new Short Term Psychodynamic Therapy Scheme to go alongside the longer-term psychodynamic therapy they offer.
The organisation report, “Short term therapy, also known as brief or time-limited therapy, is solution based and often with a distinct goal in mind. It can be particularly helpful in the following areas: • bereavement • bullying and harassment • poor performance at work • relationship difficulties • redundancy •s tress, anxiety and depression • traumatic incidents • negative thinking.
“We are able to offer 12 weekly sessions to focus on a particular issue and explore in depth with the therapist in order to achieve greater self-awareness and to explore the possibility of change.
“Wessex Counselling & Psychotherapy has been providing counselling, psychotherapy and training in Frome and surrounding areas since 1983. As a charity we are able to offer a fee scale based on income to make our service accessible to those who need it most.
