Frome FM has launched two new shows for its Spring broadcasting schedule.
After a high-profile week of protests before Easter in London and around the UK, Frome-based Eco-warrior and radio producer Matt Mellen presents EcoHustler – the radio supplement to his ecological news website, ecohustler.com.
Each Sunday from 4-6pm on 96.6fm and online, Matt brings us a new live show that examines our most pressing environmental issues and will feature interviews and stories from some of the leading environmentalists and activists in the country.
The show, which includes music tracks from countries all over the world, promises to be controversial, informative and inspiring.
In the station’s Thursday lunchtime Health and Well Being slot from 12pm to 1pm there is a new monthly magazine-format show ‘Staying Alive’ in which former fitness trainer and ‘Sunday Supplement’ presenter, Joy Osborn takes a look at everything from nutrition to exercise, remedies for stress and anti-ageing, to spiritual wellbeing – exploring the latest ideas and research along the way.
If you’ve got an idea for a programme or you’d like to help out at the station, get in touch with Frome FM. Email Jeremy Westcott at hello@frome.fm or tweet the station@fromefm.
Ecohustler, presented by Matt Mellen, Sundays 4-6pm and Staying Alive, presented by Joy Osborn, every 4th Thursday (next show 9th May) from 12-1pm on 96.6fm and online at www.frome.fm.
