ARE you interested in social badminton?A newlyformed badminton club is now meeting between 8pm and 10pm on Wednesdays at Frome Sports & Fitness Centre and has a few vacancies for adult players.
The club has been started as there was a long waiting list for the social badminton club, Shuttles Badminton Club, which meets on Monday evenings. The new club is to be known as the Triple F Badminton Club, which is intended to reflect the ethos of being for fun, fitness and friendly.
John Warman, club co-ordinator, says that the aim is for friendly, yet competitive games, and like most social clubs there will be a mixture of abilities. Most games are for doubles players and the games are often challenging as you play with players of different abilities. Whilst the club is not for absolute beginners, the club welcomes people who have not played for some time and would like to play again.”
