Wellbeing Frome will be offering natural therapies – sessions, workshops, demos, talks – in return for optional contributions only, to promote greater wellbeing for the people of Frome this Saturday, 6th July.
It will be a regular monthly event upstairs at the Cheese & Grain that includes short sessions by experienced local practitioners, self help talks and workshops.
The group says, “Our inspiration came from Alison Murdoch who owns the Good Heart Cafe and who, with the focus of kindness, offers her space freely for donation-only sessions and talks. Alongside the monthly Wellbeing initiative there will be opportunities for therapies, talks and small group classes on a weekly basis at The Good Heart, Palmer Street.
“Our launch event at the Cheese & Grain will be on Saturday 6th July from 1.30pm to 4.30pm. We will be offering our time for talks and 25-minute treatments in the upstairs rooms on an optional contribution basis. Turn up soon after 1.30pm on the day to book your treatment. This event is also part of the Frome Festival and is in their online publicity.
“After this initial launch in July, we will be running regular monthly sessions and talks on the first Saturday of every month, resuming in September after the August break, (except November 9th which will be the second Saturday in the month).
“We anticipate that Wellbeing Frome will be a long-running initiative. People will receive high quality professional treatments, which include body-based as well as talking therapies, by qualified and fully-insured practitioners.
“Our long-term aim is to encourage individual self-help and empowerment, rather than reliance on therapies or therapists. We hope that we will become a resource for all the residents of Frome, both during the week at the Good Heart in Palmer Street and upstairs at the Cheese & Grain.
“See Wellbeing Frome Facebook page and local publicity for future dates and details. Or call into the Good Heart, Palmer Street for information about the programme of talks or to book a session there.”
