Pupils in Years 5 and 6 enjoyed a fantastic World Book Day at Oakfield Academy.
Both staff and pupils arrived dressed as their favourite book character, including the headteacher (as Mary Poppins) and deputy head (as Aslan from Narnia). Overall winners of the dress up competition were Cusi Wilce in Year 5 (Pippy Longstockings) and Kiera Burgess in Year 6 (Queen of Hearts).
Other activities arranged to celebrate the day were ‘Where’s Wally’ and ‘Extreme Reading.’
