FROME’S very own Oakfield Choir is joining with Midsomer Choral for their next concert which will take place on Saturday 13th May from 7pm in Holy Trinity Church in Frome.
Organisers say, “On the menu is an all-Mozart programme featuring his incredible Great Mass in C Minor, the exciting Regina Coeli in C, and the tuneful Clarinet Concerto played by the choir’s music director Neil Moore.
“The Great Mass is considered one of Mozart’s greatest works and was composed in Vienna in 1782/1783 when Wolfgang was only 26. The beautiful Regina Coeli was composed in 1779 when he was a mere 23 and at Salzburg Cathedral. At the concert in May, soprano soloists Amy Carson and Maria Danishvar, along with tenor, Robert Folkes, and Frederick Long, bass, will join the choirs to add their voices to these wonderful works. This is surely an event you won’t want to miss!”
Drinks will be available before the performance and during the interval. Tickets are limited and available at Hunting Raven Bookshop or via www.ticketsource .co.uk/ocf.
